You need to have Adobe Flash Player installed in order to view the component. You can download it from here: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

Features

A slide & flip effect with XML driven images.

Add your own images through the easy-to-use XML file.

You can change the following attributes:
- the size of the images
- the transition speed
- the images closeness
- the depth perspective
- which image is selected by default

All the code and instructions are in the first frame of the photoslide_container symbol.

You can put images at any dimensions, they are automatically resized according to the imageWidth and imageHeight variables.
Set the target URLs to point to different sections of your website, or add your own code when clicking on each image instead of getURL method.

Installation instructions for:

Below you will find instructions on how to install and use the PhotoSlide FX Component in Flash (available for Flash 8, CS3, CS4, CS5 and Flash Player 8, 9, 10 or later).

You can see an example on how to install a product in Flash here.

In this video you will see:
- how to create an instance of the component on the stage: from the Components panel (Ctrl+F7) drag & drop the component on the stage
- how to give a name to an instance for further use in ActionScript: click on the component instance on the stage and from the Properties panel (Ctrl+F3) enter a name in the text input
- how to access the properties of the component (read or modify) during different moments of your Flash application

Any property of the Component could be accessed that way. The names of the properties are identical with the ones from the settings.xml file. The properties of the component can be of any of the three types: Number, String, Boolean. We assume it’s intuitive of which type each property is.

Warning! Setting the parameters of the component in the Component Inspector window (Shift+F7) and in the same time having a settings.xml file populated with different values for each property, the properties from the settings.xml file will have priority (meaning that a parameter set in the Component Inspector will be ignored if that parameter is also defined in the XML file).

For now, this component does not dispatch events, but stay tuned for an update.

How do you increase the size of the image? On my screen, its very small. In flash, it looks like the facility to increase the size is greyed out.

FlashXML Support

Hi,

Sorry, but we no longer offer support for the basic files. We recommend you to use one of our components or galleries. You could try Cover Flow FX, which is kind of similar to this one.

I am trying to upload adelio to my wp site following the instructions but it is not working. Could it be because it is on linux?

FlashXML Support

Hi,

Normally you shouldn’t encounter any problems when uploading via LINUX. Please make sure that you have the latest version of WP, and PHP 5 on the server.

is it possible to remove the flip effect and just make it slide only?

FlashXML Support

Hi,

Open the fla file. Go to Actions Panel (F9), select photoslide_container. At the beginning of the code, change the value of flipImages to false.
e.g:

flipImages = false;
