You need to have Adobe Flash Player installed in order to view the component. You can download it from here: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

Features

This is an useful set of 30 masks for your image transitions.

Besides the classical way to apply masks, an example is in the code of this sample.

You can use your own shapes for a specific transition.

Only about 2.5 Kb average for each mask.

To be able to use these masks, you'll have to know how to apply masks in Flash.
Please watch this video tutorial to learn how to manually apply masks to images in Flash.

If you want to use the masks for image slideshows or banners, you might be interested in Banner Rotator FX.

Installation instructions for:

Below you will find instructions on how to install and use the Mask Transitions FX Component in Flash (available for Flash 8, CS3, CS4, CS5 and Flash Player 8, 9, 10 or later).

You can see an example on how to install a product in Flash here.

In this video you will see:
- how to create an instance of the component on the stage: from the Components panel (Ctrl+F7) drag & drop the component on the stage
- how to give a name to an instance for further use in ActionScript: click on the component instance on the stage and from the Properties panel (Ctrl+F3) enter a name in the text input
- how to access the properties of the component (read or modify) during different moments of your Flash application

Any property of the Component could be accessed that way. The names of the properties are identical with the ones from the settings.xml file. The properties of the component can be of any of the three types: Number, String, Boolean. We assume it’s intuitive of which type each property is.

Warning! Setting the parameters of the component in the Component Inspector window (Shift+F7) and in the same time having a settings.xml file populated with different values for each property, the properties from the settings.xml file will have priority (meaning that a parameter set in the Component Inspector will be ignored if that parameter is also defined in the XML file).

For now, this component does not dispatch events, but stay tuned for an update.

Hi there!
Thank you so much for these transitions – they are awesome! Please can you help me with one thing? I am using transition 29 in a banner for a website and having some problems – what I need is an infinite rotation with 5 pictures – what is the correct way to make flash go back to the beginning after the transition from image04 to image05? I thought I’d just be able to make a transition from image05 to image01 and end the timeline there so it can loop to the front, but then flash for some reason doesn’t read the first transition and just jumps to image02. I’ve added transition image01 to image02 at the end of the timeline which kinda worked, but now the timings are all out. Please can you help me with the right way to do this?
Thanks so much!!!!
Carin

Hello, I just want to thank you for providing this free stuff. I’m learning how to use flash and the video tutorial was very understandable, I could implement the mask transition successfully in a banner I was designing. Greetings from Peru.
