Instead of getting your data from images.xml , tell it to get your data from images.php . Just make the images.php file ECHO your xml content.

Fresh data on every page load, ni timestamps, no multiple copies of the swf in your users browser cache, no slow page loads while it gets downloaded every time they view the page either.

I hope this helps someone!

Is there anyway around the caching issue? I am trying to generate the images.xml dynamically and I can’t enforce users to reset their browser cache every time they visit the site.

FlashXML Support

Hi,

Cache has been the plague of web developers since it first appeared. If you want to bypass this issue, you could try adding an ?uid1234 number at then end of the XML file. Each time you change the XML values just add another number to the UID. This way the browser is forced to reload the file.
e.g. (using the date generated) images.xml?uid201203040835

Hi,

I purchased the Dock Gallery today and have embedded it on my site. I have two issues.

The thumbnails are not displaying at all and I would like the slideshow to continuously loop once it has displayed all photos. Could you help me with this please?

FlashXML Support

Hi,

Your big.xml and thumbs.xml, the image list files that control what images the gallery loads, have images from 101 to 110, but you only have images from 101 to 107 on your site. Please delete the extra images from the XML files – as all the files declared in the XML files need to load properly.
