Posted 25 Days AgoHi, Will you be upgrading this component to work with Joomla 1.6?
Hi,
When Joomla 1.6 will be officially released (not beta) we’ll make our plugins work with it.

Posted 26 Days AgoHi,
I read its possible to have two banner rotators on the same web page pointing to two different asset folders. If this is the case, how can this be done?
Thanks

Hello,
We’ve checked the link that you supplied and the banner works just fine. We’ve sent an e-mail from our support account with a screenshot of this.

Posted 26 Days AgoHi,
I re uploaded banner.swf as you suggested but still have the same problem. I also downloaded a new set of files from your site and then used the new banner.swf file from there but still a problem. Is the file still corrupted? Do I need to change permission for this file – it is now on rw – r – r ? This is working fine on my computer but not when uploaded. Thanks.
PS the image i referred to is not your logo – it is a 38by40 pix but it is not loading – you can see the “no pic available” image in IE only.
YOUR REPLY:
Hi,
Try to upload again the SWF file, because it’s corrupted.
The commercial version won’t have the FlashXML.net logo in the top left corner anymore.
ORIGINAL QUESTION : I am trying the free version before buying a paid version but the banner is not loading on my site although it is calling a 38 by 40 pixel image in IE. It works fine on my computer (although it still has that image in IE) and I uploaded the complete folder exactly as I have it on my computer. Any suggestions? I also would like to know how to remove the 38by40 image when I buy the paid version. Thanks
Hello,
The banner doesn’t appear most probably because you do not have a “<head>” tag, but you do have a “</head>” tag. Because of this, the browser ignores the code that is supposed to be in between those tags.
Put the “<head>” tag before the scripts, and it should work fine, if nothing else is wrong.

Posted 26 Days AgoOh, that’s a pity. But thank you anyway!

Posted 26 Days AgoOh, that was fast! Thanx :-)
The website is http://test.nils-liebherr.de/wordpress/
The image.xml is http://test.nils-liebherr.de/wordpress/wp-content/flashxml/banner-rotator-fx/images2.xml with 5 images, #2, #3, #4 are external.
Hello,
We see the problem, it is using the path wp-content/../banner-rotator-fx/yourImageURL/image.jpg instead of yourImageURL/image.jpg. Unfortunately, there isn’t a solution for this problem (that we know of) because that is how wordpress works.
On a regular site, loading external images would work without a problem, but on wordpress our conclusion is that the feature can not be supported.

Posted 26 Days AgoHi!
Is there any way to load external images?
In the images.xml file I have some images hostet at an external website, using <photo image=“http://www.xyz.com/a1.jpg” .....> but the image won’t load!
May there something be wrong or does this simply not work?
Thanx!
Hello,
It ought to work. Please give us a link to your website and we will look into the problem.

Posted 27 Days AgoHi How to change the text that now is being displayed.
Can we change that or only to remove that text ‘Customizing zoom and kern burn…..’ and other text.
And how to edit the link to this banner? when user click will link to other website
Hi,
You can change the text from images.xml file (in CDATA sections) – you can insert any text you like.
You can insert your own url addresses using the url attribute also from images.xml

Posted 27 Days AgoHi! I acquired the Banner rotate FX, but I cannot open the file banner.fla, the follow message appears when i try to open it: “Unexpected file format.” The version of my Flash is 8.0. I think that this file is broken. Could you verify it, please?
Hi,
Could you please send me the archive to support at flashxml.net. I’ll convert it to Flash 8.
Thank you.
